Enemies

Cassandra Nova

Cassandra Nova

Cassandra Nova was a mummudrai, the evil twin sister of Professor X. Like him, possessed vast telepathic powers. She used these powers on Beak, turning him against Beast and forcing him to beat his teacher senseless. The psychic assault left Beak in a catatonic state, from which he took a long time to recover.

U-Men

The U-Men

The U-Men were a group of human fanatics who wanted to become mutants. They abducted mutants, harvested their organs and grafted them onto their own bodies. The U-Men often clashed with the X-Men, and once tried to abduct the Special Class during a camping trip. They were stopped by Xorn, while his students teamed up to defeat an individual U-Man.

Omega Gang

The Omega Gang

Members: Glob, Kid Omega, Radian, Redneck, Tattoo

The Omega Gang was formed by Quentin Quire, one of the Xavier Institute's most brilliant, if troubled, students. Dubbing himself Kid Omega, Quentin and four of his classmates instigated a school riot in which two other students --- Dummy of the Special Class and Sophie of the Stepford Cuckoos --- were killed. Though the X-Men were able to stop the Omega Gang, Quentin himself died as a result of abusing the power-amplifying drug Kick. The surviving members of his gang were all sentenced to prison.

Brotherhood

The Brotherhood

Members: Beak, Basilisk, Esme Cuckoo, Ernst, Magneto, Martha Johansson, Angel Salvadore, Toad

Some time after the birth of Beak's children, his teacher Xorn revealed himself to be none other than Magneto. He turned the Special Class into his new Brotherhood and demolished New York City, erecting New Genosha in its place. Many mutants flocked to him, and he ordered them to exterminate all the humans they could find. Beak rebelled against Magneto and was sentenced to death. He managed to escape and join the resistance, providing them with information about Magneto's plans. The X-Men launched an attack on Magneto's fortress, and Beak went with them to rescue his family. In the following battle, the Brotherhood was defeated and Toad crippled. Esme and Basilisk were both killed by Magneto in anger.

Ego the Living Planet

Ego the Living Planet

In one of Beak's first missions with the Exiles, a parallel Earth had been infected by Ego and was attempting to purge all the humans within it. Mr. Fantastic had tapped into Earth's newly awakened consciousness but couldn't reason with it. A frantic Beak told him to stop thinking and start feeling, to use his paternal instincts to break Ego's hold over Earth. Mr. Fantastic was then able to convince Earth that humans were its children and needed to be protected. Earth turned against Ego and helped the Exiles defeat the evil planet.

Kulan Gath

Kulan Gath

In one of the worlds the Exiles visited, the evil wizard Kulan Gath had transformed New York into a dangerous, magical medieval world. The Exiles were also transformed into medieval versions of themselves, forgetting everything about their former lives. With Magik and Spider-Man's help, they eventually regained their memory and were able to defeat Kulan Gath.

Tanaraq

Tanaraq

Tanaraq was an ancient evil spirit living inside the Exile Heather Hudson, granting her the powers of Sasquatch. The magic of Kulan Gath's medieval world unleashed him. He overpowered the Exiles, forcing them to recruit supervillain scientists who could help him return to his world to rule it. Meanwhile, Beak sought the help of Alpha Flight's Shaman, who drew Heather out of Tanaraq and banished the monster to the plane where the true Great Beasts lived.

Hyperion

Hyperion

An evil version of the incredibly powerful Hyperion had broken out of Panoptichron's stasis chambers, taking control of the crystal palace. When the Exiles arrived at Panoptichron, they were forced to flee from him. It then fell to Beak to save both his friends and the multiverse, which he did by recruiting two good Hyperions to defeat the evil one.

Deadpool

Wade Wilson (Deadpool)

An alternate version of Deadpool was revived from Panoptichron's stasis chambers. Intending to take revenge on Sabretooth for a past betrayal, Deadpool took Heather hostage and forced her to start reviving his old teammates. Beak, who was able to hide before Deadpool could see him, removed Mimic from stasis, where he had been placed after being critically injured. Mimic instantly recovered by copying Deadpool's healing abilities, and he and a newly-revived female Hulk stopped Deadpool once and for all.

Mutant X

Kevin MacTaggert (Mutant X)

When Beak returned to his home world, he found that it had been drastically altered into a reality where mutants ruled the world. An extremely powerful, reality-warping serial killer called Mutant X took over Angel's body, using her to lure Beak away from the Exiles. Once he had Beak alone, he warped and tortured him into revealing the origins of the Exiles. The Exiles fought him, but were overwhelmed. Realizing that there were other worlds he could play with, Mutant X teleported to another dimension, leaving a half-dead Angel behind him.

Zodiac

Zodiac

One of the first supervillain groups the New Warriors faced was Zodiac. Zodiac was overwhelming the Initiative heroes assigned to fight them, so the New Warriors came to give them a hand. Though the Warriors managed to repel Zodiac, Cancer killed their teammate Longstrike by vaporizing her. Sofia Mantega was also critically injured during the battle.

Machinesmith

Samuel Saxon (Machinesmith)

The New Warriors took on Machinesmith because they were led to believe he was about to unleash a techno-organic virus. In their first battle with him, Machinesmith overpowered the Warriors and separated them from each other. The Warriors who were trapped in his lair were forced to run and fight for their lives. Among them was Tempest, who Blackwing was frantic to save. After returning with a bigger force, the New Warriors on the outside were able to reunite with their teammates and, after some difficulty, finally defeated Machinesmith.

Skrulls

Skrulls

During the Skrull invasion of Earth, the New Warriors fought and defeated a Super-Skrull. Along with the pro-Registration supergroup Counter Force, they also aided a helicarrier full of S.H.I.E.L.D. agents who were being overwhelmed by a Skrull attack force. After a spectacular battle, they were finally able to repel the Skrulls.

S.H.I.E.L.D.

S.H.I.E.L.D.

As unregistered superheroes, the New Warriors were constantly at odds with the law. A S.H.I.E.L.D. task force was formed especially to arrest them. During their first confrontation, the New Warriors resisted arrest, and Ripcord and Skybolt were accidentally killed. The Warriors later escaped a second attack from S.H.I.E.L.D. by jumping into a time machine.

Guardsmen

Guardsmen

After jumping into a time machine, the New Warriors arrived thirty years in the future, where Iron Guardsmen patrolled the streets and skies. The New Warriors fought various models of Guardsmen three times: once when they tried to escape arrest and twice when they broke into Stark Compound in order to use its time machine to get back home. One Guardsman seriously wounded Blackwing by stabbing him with a facsimile of Wolverine's claws.

Dwayne Taylor

Dwayne Taylor (Iron Man)

After jumping into a time machine, the New Warriors arrived in a future where a resurrected Dwayne Taylor had taken over the mantle of Iron Man, becoming supreme dictator of the country and ruthlessly enforcing Superhero Registration. He imprisoned the New Warriors and sentenced them to the Nth dimension. Fortunately, Night Thrasher was able to free them and lead them to Stark Compound's time machine. The New Warriors were able to return home, but not before Night Thrasher was forced to kill his own brother.
