Angel Salvadore (Tempest)Initially, Angel had nothing but contempt for Beak, teasing him mercilessly about his freakish appearance. She kissed him on a bet from their classmates, unintentionally causing him to fall in love with her. However, she also grew attached to him. Though she didn't stop putting him down, she began doing so with a measure of affection. She later got pregnant by him and gave birth to half a dozen fly / bird / human hybrids. She was angered and heartbroken when Beak was unhinged from time and forced to join the Exiles, believing that he had abandoned her and the kids. Later, during M-Day, they had a joyful reunion that brought them closer to each other.At first, Angel had no desire to get into the superhero business. But when Barnell joined the Anti-Registration superhero group the New Warriors, she decided that she had to have his back. She joined the New Warriors as well, fighting side by side with her husband. [Note: It was never definitively stated when Barnell and Angel actually got married. In Exiles, she was referred to interchangeably as both his wife and his girlfriend. In New Warriors, she was referred to exclusively as his wife.] 
Bohusk ChildrenBeak initially dreaded the arrival of his children, but instantly fell in love with them when they were born. He was a loving and devoted father to them, and they likewise seemed to adore him. They became very distressed when Magneto sentenced Beak to death, as well as when Beak was forced to leave his family to join the Exiles. During M-Day, all but Tito lost their mutations. It was also during M-Day that they were finally reunited with their father. Later on, they became close with their parents' teammates the New Warriors, especially their "Uncle Vin" (Skybolt).Of the Bohusk children, only Tito, Axel and Kara have been identified. The others were possibly named after members of the Jackson Family. The exact number of Bohusk children varied from writer to writer. There were half a dozen in New X-Men, five to six in Exiles, and ten in New Warriors, including an infant who must have been born after M-Day. 
Tito Jerome Bohusk (Beak)In the alternate dystopian future of Here Comes Tomorrow, Tito was an X-Man who fought courageously and died in the battle against Sublime. From Tito, we learned that his grandfather Barnell Bohusk was a legendary X-Man and a renowned hero. In honor of Barnell, Tito took the codename "the Beak," used a baseball bat as his primary weapon and even wore a padlock necklace similar to Barnell's. Whether or not Tito was the only descendant of Barnell to assume the mantle of the Beak is unknown.
Mr. & Mrs. BohuskNot much is known about Beak's parents, except that they were concerned by their son's mutation and decided to send him to the Xavier Institute. It's also worth noting that Beak seems to have inherited his prominent nose and gangly build from his father. |
